July is International Social Wellness Month – Let’s Get Social Again!
Why did the introvert bring a ladder to the bar? Because they heard the social scene was on another level! 😄
After years of isolation, lockdowns, and awkward Zoom silences, it’s time to stretch those social muscles and reconnect — because July is International
Social Wellness Month!
At Saving Grace Medical Academy, we don’t just teach life-saving skills; we believe in building stronger, more connected communities. This month, we’re diving deep into what it means to be socially well in the age of TikToks, texts, and "seen" messages left on read but not replied.
What is Social Wellness?
Social wellness is all about nurturing healthy relationships and creating meaningful connections — whether it’s with family, friends, colleagues, or that person you always see at your local coffee shop but haven’t said hi to... yet.
It’s about balance, belonging, and yes — even boundaries in your social interactions.
Let’s Talk: Social Media & Family Dynamics
From sharing dance videos to doomscrolling news, social media has reshaped the way we connect. But is it building bridges or creating barriers?
This month we’ll explore:
How social media affects communication within families
How scrolling may be replacing meaningful conversation
Ways to use technology for connection rather than division
Expect posts that unpack the impact of screen time on kids, how to have better family dinners, and whether “just send a meme” really counts as checking in.
Social Ice Breakers: Don’t Just Sit There, Say Something!
Want to break the ice at work, school, or that community BBQ?
Try one of these conversation starters:
“If you were a kitchen utensil, which one would you be?”
“What's the weirdest food combo you secretly love?”
“What’s your ‘desert island’ board game?”
Being social doesn’t mean being the loudest person in the room — it means being willing to connect, even just a little. We’ll be sharing more ice-breakers and conversation games all month long!
Let’s Get Out There and Be Human Again
COVID-19 changed how we interact — but it also taught us how much we need each other. This July, let’s lean into laughter, community events, shared meals, hugs, and heart-to-hearts.
Whether you’re an introvert, extrovert, or somewhere in between, you deserve connection. Let’s explore how social wellness boosts mental health, strengthens resilience, and makes life more joyful.
The lockdown can’t keep us down — it’s time to get connected. Explore your community, meet new people, and let’s be social, together in 2025!
