Heart & Stroke’s BLS course equips healthcare professionals and first responders with essential CPR skills for in-facility and prehospital settings. Following the latest CPR and ECC guidelines, this course emphasizes early recognition, high-quality CPR, and rapid emergency response activation.
Training is available in both blended (online + in-person) and in-person formats, with hands-on practice in single- and multi-rescuer CPR, AED use, and cardiac arrest management—supporting confident, effective patient care.

This BLS certification is commonly required for Alberta Health Services (AHS) employees and is recognized by AHS, Covenant Health, UofA, Grant MacEwan, and other healthcare and educational institutions across Alberta.
